Fiona Bicket
Fiona Bicket teaches a variety of styles to all ages in her studio
in Park Slope, Brooklyn. She emphasizes improvisation, including
simple melodic improvisation based on the Greek modes. She also
assists students to find their way to playing by ear. Fiona teaches
both classical and jazz styles, and is well-versed in the bebop
idiom, as taught by Barry Harris.

Denise Kahn specializes in teaching adult amateurs using many of
Abby Whiteside's principles. She holds frequent piano activities
for her students including bi-monthly performance classes and
monthly chamber music sessions. She was a founding member of the
Cameo Trio, which has performed here and abroad. Her teachers
included Murray Perahia and Sophia Rosoff.

Gregg Kallor
Gregg Kallor is a pianist, composer, and improviser with a
background in classical music and jazz. His solo concerts at
Carnegie Hall, presented by the Abby Whiteside Foundation, have
featured a mix of classical pieces, jazz, improvised arrangements of
rock and pop songs, and original music. Kallor's teachers have
included Kenny Barron and Fred Hersch, and he has been studying with
Sophia Rosoff since 2000.

John Kamitsuka lives and teaches in New York City. He has worked

Jeremy Siskind is an improvising pianist equally at home in the jazz

Dan Tepfer
Dan Tepfer is an acclaimed New-York-based jazz pianist and composer
who has also been studying and performing classical music for most
of his life. He was born in Paris, France in 1982 and attended the
Paris Conservatoire Paul Dukas there. He later received his master's
in music from the New England Conservatory. Since moving to New
York, he has studied with Fred Hersch, Zitta Zohar and Sophia
Rosoff. He teaches improvisation and piano technique.

Neely Bruce
Neely Bruce is professor of music at Wesleyan University in
Middletown, Connecticut. He has worked with Sophia Rosoff since
1998. He is the composer of over 800 pieces of music, including
approximately twelve hours of piano music. He has performed an
exceptionally broad range of piano literature, and regularly teaches
seminars in Bach, Chopin and American music. His performances of
American music past and present have been recorded for Nonesuch,
Polydor, Vox and Lovely Music.

Vivian Hornik Weilerstein is on the piano, collaborative piano, and
chamber music faculty of the New England Conservatory where she also
directs the Piano Trio Program. She is on the chamber music faculty

performs around the world. Her discography includes duo and trio
